SANCTION FEES FAQ
Your association dues help provide the following programs but are not limited to:
•$4000 in scholarships each year to Western North Carolina youth bowlers also managing SMART Scholarship accounts for all youth members which is the ONLY youth scholarship fund recognized by the US Olympic Committee and the NCAA. Totaling over 6 million scholarships awarded annually.

•Certified 345 Bowling Balls, 5,500 Centers, 10,000 Tournaments, 55,000 leagues and 113,897 Lanes for competition last year.
​
•Guiding and assisting 3,000 local associations and governing more than 2,000,000 members. WNCUSBC alone handed out over 1000 awards last year.

•Providing certification and training to individuals for youth coaching, educational workshops to build leagues and tournaments.
​
•Maintain Specifications for testing of lanes, lane dressings, pin setting and ball returns and other related bowling products. Historical database of bowler averages for use in USBC-sanctioned leagues and tournaments. Also, maintaining and operating the National Hall Of Fame to recognize bowler achievements.
​
•$37 Million donated to the national program; Bowlers for Veterans and 50/50 profits from local association tournaments are returned locally to The Charles George VA Medical Center. Along with $9 Million to Susan G Koman Cancer For A Cure.

•Conducts championship tournaments: USBC Masters, USBC Queens, USBC Open Championships, USBC Women's Championships, USBC Youth Open, USBC Junior Gold Championships, USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships, USBC Intercollegiate Singles Championships, USBC Senior Masters, USBC Senior Queens, Team USA Trials, USBC Senior Championships and Pepsi USBC Youth Championships. As well as many additional local adult, youth and senior tournaments each year. WNCUSBC contributed over $600 to local association prize funds last year.

•Various generous discounts from these partners: United, Delta, Hilton, Nationwide Ins and Simplisafe Home. Also a VISA card to eligible members
at 0.0% APR. Plus a $4000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment Benefit provided to all current member’s at no additional cost.
